World Cup Preparation Time
There is still a huge importance on things like sponsorship and money coming into the teams but really affects the way they can prepare. Even if you get through it then there's less time to prepare for the World Cup. Both Senegal and Cameron were meant to play uh friendlies prior to this, both of those fell short in part because of the financial restrictions on them. The other four teams going are all playing North Macedonia or Uzbekistan so it really really does impact the kind of caliber of teams you're meant to play.
