The Problem With Hypocrisy in Phariseeism
"Hypocrisy is a denial of the very central truths of the gospel," he says. It's central to the problem that Jesus saw in Phariseeism, where they believed themselves to be pious but were actually denials of the gospel. "I think what we see is minor moral blips going on in the church today and in our lives today are manifestations of something really worrying about a neglect of and even rejection of the gospel."
