The High Priest

In the Old Testament, you remember the high priest, you couldn't just go into the Holy of Holies. No one could accept the high priest because that was the presence of God. So in this context, he's talking about we have a high priest, but he's talking, this is a great high priest. This is not just another man like you, but this is Jesus who's the high priest. He goes, let his hold fast our confession for we do not have a high Priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses.
