When i was 16 years old, i picked up an encyclopaedia article and just looked at it. And that night, back in october 19 84, i just remember thinking, ho, philosophy. I don't relly know much about it. So like a lot of teen agers who get into philosophy, i started with nita ahnd. Then from there, ortege gasette, who's an absolutely fabulous writer. Alphonso lingis, who was my favorite professor for the masters at pen state. Levinas is also some one you had to throw into the mix; he translated levinas' writing on him o and lingus made important critiques
