Introduction
FA Hayek was an Austrian-British economist and political philosopher. He co-founded the Montpeller in Society, whose prime function was to shift economic debate away from what they perceived as the growing dangers of socialism or collectivism. His core ideas lent legitimacy to the idea that freedom and market competition are co-extensive. The Road to Serfdom is probably his most influential text.
