There are people for whom cricket is everything. It's their comfort blanket. And with you ther totally. There is a kind of poetry about the cricket commentators. You don't really need understand what is going on. I remember bryan johnston, h yes, just to hear his plummy voice talking about the cricket,. i didn't really follow. As a child, i did play cricket, and the reporter always said, giles has scored well again this term, meaning i'd lain in the long grass a keeping the score. it's a world with its own vocabulary though, isn't it? Yes, it definitely is.
