Cassie Hoover met Dr. LaRoy S. Chadwick as a client for her Clairvoyance service. She made him believe that she was just a proper widow running a boarding house. When he broke into it, Cassie faints and begs to be taken away from the "den of sin" He cradles her off and then he marries her; they named their daughter Cassie L. Chadwick.
