The Capitol Police Oversight Recommendation

The House has recently finished voting on the omnibus spending bill that carries the Reform See Electoral Count Act. One of the recommendations included in the Capitol Police oversight recommendation involves having joint hearings before the committees of jurisdiction for the Capitol Police with testimony from the Capitol Police Board. That recommendation was actually already codified into law about a year ago. Last December, the House and the Senate passed legislation that made some changes to the Capitol Police.
