Poland has a very unique structure. It's even more unique than Ireland in this way is because it was able to incorporate and tolerate both Protestants and Jews within their society without losing their Catholic identity. After these various powers in the East and West take over Poland at the end of the 18th century, they lose their sovereignty. And then after that, we have this strong ethnic identity, which is identified so closely with freedom and its freedom in a good sense of that term.
