Understanding Humanity in Human-Computer Interaction
Disability is predominantly understood as a deficit and that's not just happening in human-computer interaction. Often it's considered something that's diagnosed by a medical professional, but not everyone has the access to get medical diagnoses. There are growing conversations about how technology can help people with disabilities be more "normal" And so those are ever being kind of introduced as complementary and important perspectives that human- computer interaction should consider.
