Naka Kondo is the lead editor of Back to Blue, an initiative of Economist Impact and the NEPON Foundation on Ocean Health. Today she welcomes Oliver Steed's Ocean Census Director and Chief Executive of Necton to our podcast. We think we've discovered about 10% of life that lives in the ocean which is about 240,000 species,. They're round about 2 million, 2.2 million species in the ocean, we think but that estimation is based on current scientific bias so we can't be 100% sure what really lives there.
