How Did the German Lawyers and Judges Get Off Very Easy?
After the war, James ebisky went on to have a glittering career after the raid. He didn't like leaving men behind on the mountain. It's interesting, i've had some german specialists who said, actually, the german lawyers and judges managed to get off very easy. The judges looked after their own post war. But yet, there was this real sense that you can't just pin it all on the grunts on the ground. They are operating as part of a much broader system. And more often than not, it's the people who are supposed to be providing moral and ethical leadership in the society, like lawyers judges, who bear the most responsibility.
