The Importance of Encryption in Email and Calendars
There's so much backwards compatibility and legacy software involved in that space. It's really hard to build a secure platform on top of it, which is why usually we don't even recommend email at all for a primary method of secure communication. Even with encryption technologies like PGP, there's so much that's unencrypted throughout the whole chain of communication That's avoided if you use a modern messenger signal.
