LZ Granderson: Does the family actually exist for the working class? This is a question that we need to wrestle with and is important, he says. LZ: When your child is working in a neat factory at 12 years old, what fucking family are we talking about? The Booth-Wazie have access to family, sentimentalist ideologies because they can afford to, right? But the working class does not. And I think it's important to recognize that Marxist feminists have interjected in criticism of this idea as well.
