The History of the Subcontinent

The history of the subcontinent is so interesting because you had Brahminical institutions with Brahmin priests running all of society and setting up those Hindu scriptures. So when you see the rise of shamanic faiths, which are faiths that start to decentralize access to the spirit, you see challenges that come from Buddhism, from Jainism, and even later on Sikhism. They needed to find some sort of suck or refuge from the tyranny of Brahminical control over not just your spiritual life, but actually every aspect of your society control. The order of the logic of the geography in South Asia is broken up by caste apartheid.
