Writing a Book About Depression

i was a writer in residence for six months, and felt like i had nothing to say. A meeting with a woman who knew about publishing persuaded me to write the book. My publishers weren't that into it when i first went to them about it. But they paid me very little money for it. I would have got four times as much if it had been a novel. If you're going through depression or any other form of mental illness, there's no one right way to get help. You just have to go away from your comfort zone - which can be really scary. The only thing that will ever make you feel better is knowing someone else has gone through what you've done.
