Dehumanizing the Trunk and Branching Off in Different Directions
In arguing with somebody and trying to go win an argument, you need to dehumanize them. You have to be like, well, what's wrong with these Republicans? They can't understand. Like they're morons. And when you when two disagreeing parties work on the trunk together, it re humanizes them in the process of arguing. So trunk and branches construct is a way of replacing right and wrong that allows for a much more nuanced set of possibilities.
