To splash out means spending significant amounts of money on a particular item or event. To take the biscuit is the equivalent of taking a non-existent medal for foolishness, stupidness, or incredulity. Do you have a word in your language for the same thing? What word would you use to describe someone who studies a lot? In English it's a SWOT.
