How to Cultivate a Certain Degree of Silence

The first thing you have to do is to, it's, it takes asceticism. We need ascetical practices with respect to all of our images. If we don't develop habits of self denial there, these things will control our lives. And at a minimum, make our lives a lot more shallow than they would other be. That goes back to this morning's talk where Atchadia amputates the voice, which expresses the inner desire.
