The Horror of Home Invasion
There is quite a bleak, almost sort of nihilism to these films, isn't there? Where often the invaders are monsters, sometimes the invaders have to become monsters to protect that home. And I think they kind of, the worst of us in a lot of ways, I think. They're very despairing films. You know, not a lot of hope in a home invasion film. There's somewhat less catharsis to watching a home invasion movie happen where the home invaders win as well.
