What's the Highest Ambition of Liberal Democracy?
Spinoza articulates our greatest hopes for what liberal democracy could be. Spinos speaks to our dissatisfaction with the liberal democracy, or in wait, promises us resources to remedy it. Spinoza doesn't embrace the relativism that hobbs and locke embrace. He says that citizens in this regime will not only agree not to do to another what they do not want done to themselvest hobbs's inverted golden wool but also defend another's right as their own.
