The Origins of the Eastern View of Humanity
Those of the east would have never considered a lopsided development of soul or spirit to be the ideal of human perfection. The education that has become the ideal of later times would have appeared to deaden what the gods had given to humanity for life on earth. And basically, this was also the view of the greeks. It was the result of ern influence, attention to bodily nature in greek in greek civilization simply represents what they became by colonizing the east and by what they received from egypt.
