I Think It's Important to Put Context in the Interview

I did a lot of prep over time to sort of be aware of what arguments he was likely to bring up. Essentially you throw out so many bad arguments quickly that the person arguing again steed needs far more time and also a lot of knowledge to unpick it won't be very convincing to someone just coming to it cold. So it was to try and sort of actually take this seriously as an interview and take the politics seriously so that we could challenge as much at the moment and put context in the moment. I think that's very different to when people put people with these fringe beliefs on live air or on stage.
