The Importance of Confidentiality in Health Care
practitioner health takes confidentiality very seriously and to that effect we set up memorandums of understanding with all the health care regulators. These allow us to treat our patients within agreed parameters so that we don't automatically need to refer anyone with a mental illness or addiction to the regulator for fear there might be a patient safety issue. So this is an area which causes a great deal of anxiety actually to um understandably to doctors, he says. We take those cases very very seriously they're discussed at quite a high level at the organization but by and large they're a handful over the 30 15 years now that we have been operating.
