The 12-week year works like this: You plan out a quarter. Now quarter is approximately 13 weeks depending on how the calendar falls, right? So you've got 52 weeks in the year divided by 4, 13 weeks. The first 12 weeks are your execution time and then the 13th week is planning the next quarter. Here's an example of that.
