Florida's Leading Cause of Fire Wildfires
Human cause fire. That is the leading cause of fire wildfires in Florida year round. So we like to say, you know, every day is a good burn day in Florida. Every day there's going to be fire on the ground and smoke in the air for some reason or another. Now, moving into the warmer times of year, that's when the fronts come through with the lightning. But we do get it really heavy because we're the lightning capital of our country.
