The Importance of Inflammatory Processes in Brain Hemorrhage

After a hemorrhage, there's robust activation of microglia and ophhelial cells. They produce lots of pro-inflammatory cytokines that activate other cells in the brain. And at least for the first couple of days, many of those processes are harmful and contribute to more brain injury. But then after the acute period is necessary for the reparative process.
