What Did the President Know and When Did He Know It?

The question becomes, what did the president know and when did he know it? Everything gets put into this water gate frame. Can we still love regan, or must we love him slightly less? He has basicly no choice but to appoint a commission to look into this and do fact finding. That seems like fact fighting. The only thing they're able to find is bad apples. They're not able to figure out what really happened. All they're able To find is basicly who are the bad guys? And that's it.
