Ramazm was used to cover a number of disciplines quickly in situations where he was the only instructor. The general attitude was captured by Johann üsted, who modified Lipsius' dismissive remark: "No one will be great for whom Ramaz alone is great" A survey of book collections in England shows that there, Ramazt works often shared shelf space with Aristotelian ones. Andrew Melville developed a curriculum in Glasgow that also combined the three traditions.
