What Christ suffers on the cross is the deserved just wrath for sin. Abuse is undeserved aggression against a lesser party. In Jesus' said, I know how holiness works and that's why there are sacrifices. The son as freely offers himself as the father offers him for us. God loved you enough to lose at the cost of his son.
