The Thucydides Trap
The Thucydides trap says that 12 of the last 16 times in which two super rising superpower has challenged the existing superpower, 75% of the time it ends in war. And this is where we are with the China threatening America's dominance. Now, if we were a sane and rationally run country, you might say, well, perhaps we could avoid it this time. But there's nothing in this administration or the previous one or the ones before that or over the last 50 years that leads me to believe that America would do anything to try and get out of the way of another war.
