The Battle of Chancellorsville
Robert Lee has been regarded since as one of America's greatest generals. He defeats McClellan, then destroys a Union army at the Battle of Second Manassas under General Pope. Then he's going to cross the Potomac River and leave the Union army into Maryland. And that of course will give Abraham Lincoln the excuse to issue the Emancipation Proclamation.
