Why We Don't Want the Science Anymore

Some of our best and most progressive citizens welcome science with open arms. But when it comes to agriculture, they don't want the science any more. Why? i puzzle over that questiona part of it is some of the new scientific breakthroughs in agriculture were primarily beneficial to farmers, not to the final consumer. We think that prescientific practices of the past were much safer for nature. That's just not true. For every bushel of production, they did much more damage the natural world.
