Talking General Practice
00:00
Introduction
This week saw publication of the long-awaited report from the House of Commons Health and Social Care Committee. It says that pressures in general practice have created a systemically toxic environment. The report calls for around a billion pounds in funding from the QOF and the investment and impact fund, which is basically the QOF for PCNs to be into core general practice. There's also a rebuke for former health and social care secretary Sajid Javed over his hints that nationalized GP partnerships could be scrapped. And we're highlighting a really important interview on our website with Chris Milligan, the husband of GP Dr Gayle Milligan who took her own life earlier this year.
