"I definitely had those thoughts, but the negative, the negativene overrided them," he says. He tried to kill himself with alcohol about four months prior to his suicide attempt. "My brain said, oh, hey, you can kill yourself, that's fine, but you made a promise to yourself that you'd never going to drink alcohol again."
