There is a little bit of a fad, fattish thing going on with who can have the slimmest image, right? It's sexy now to be slim in container images. So i wouldn't spend too much time on down this rabbit hole of making your image as small as possible. I just took note, for example, and i started to look at all the different ways i could build the image and how many vulnerabilities were in that image when i was done. Those are detected vulnerabilities in the image, but it doesn't mean that they're exploitable or that the person would ever even be able to use them.
