The Importance of Women's Boxing in the Olympics
Many European countries which have a strong traditional women's boxing have boycotted this edition of the tournament because of India allowing Belarus and Russia boxes to compete under their national flag. So why be I fully see your point that compared to 2006 when it was not yet an Olympic sport to now the competition in this year's edition was far far greater and therefore it's a far more relatable achievement.
