i think spinoza's psychology is this thing called a a conatis that everybody strives to persevere in their being. He doesn't axcept ind of dual h the mind isexist apart from the body. And so, you know, tt, to spinoza, self sacrifice is strictly speaking, impossible. Yes, communities may need people to give up certain good things, for the good of the community. But that's why they need superstition. The ethics wouldn't change much this. This idea o of of canatus as as a foundation to the way human psychology is and therefore to everything we want.
