The Banking System of Education
The banking system of education is an ideal form peragogy for those in power to keep the status go ad. The students are not taught how to re think the system right, or even critically think about the injustices of the existing system itself. And this is not a very far fetched idea - we do this in our own universities. I mean, even in english departments which claim to be critical and all, we still teach them the discourse of the discipline,. We expect them to be obedient, meek, beyond ime, right? Most of the times we say is that if they learn the text and read them critically, they have done ther job. Think of it crucial.
