Climate Change Policy - Should the United States Be Investing More?
The us. Admits more than its share of relative depopulation of carbon omissions, but it's not emitting the preponderance of omissions. And we're not going to get to net zero omissions just by addressing omissions in the us. By contrast, the us is a really large, rich country, and has a much greater capacity to invest ind research and development rather than smaller democracies like canada or scandinavian countries. One thing i'd like to see as part of that is an system of patent byouts where once we fund sort of green technology, that that can be spread globally and benefit people outside the us.
