Why Did Powell Appoint Paul Volgar?
Powell said the reason that he admired paul volgar was because he did what he believed was right. That's why powell admired him. Even if what he did was wrong, even if he did something that powell himself would not have done in those circumstances or in these circumstances,. He just admires the fact that he didwhat he believed in. And so he's condescending, a not so subtle message to the markets that hi didn't admire him because he raised interest rates a lot.
