The Effect of Texture on Taste and Smell
Texture can actually influence flavor and vice versa. A food might have a lot of different textures in it right from when you bite into it. This makes brineys and olas and anyone who wants to study food texture hard. There's all these different textures, and on top of that, you really don't just experience textures on their own. You're also experiencing the taste and the smell of the food. So it is a mess, if you allow me to say so, that many different things that happen at the same time. It's weird, but true.
