The Consequences of Increasing Demand for Fossil Fuels
When you reduce the supply of something, like a fossil fuel, it actually certainly does have an effect on demand. It's not like deciding not to drive your car and then just not releasing those emissions. So when a supplier is completely obsessed with growing their business, which is the supplier fossil fuels, they will take actions to impact demand. And so as soon as you basically force these companies to stop being obsessed with supply, then you remove the incentive for them to keep jamming sticks into all the efforts on the demand side.
