The Search for Theory in Graphic Design?
In the late 70s and early 80s, Cranbrook graphic design students got really kind of itchy or antsy to find theory. Jeff Keatie's class where they discovered literary criticism and reconstruction was a big one for them. They saw post structuralism as in a fertile area for exploration for understanding communications. And that was, you know, in the early to mid 80s.
