The Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands
US conducted 23 nuclear tests in the Marshall Islands after World War II. In 1970, about 100 people moved back to their Bikini Home Islands. Ten years later, scientists found dangerously high levels of radioactivity there. Everyone was re-evacuated and they are still fighting for compensation from American government.
