Is There a True Ideal?
I think that what people hugely underestimate is how much their ancestral cultural tradition carries on with them even after they become secular. You are best in a society that has people who are both, you know, culturally into some extent genetically prone to see it both ways. If you look at China, China is an example of a culture that was 100% expert consensus. And then it spun out into this zero COVID nonsense, which caused just like tons of pain and death that didn't need to occur. In the US, if you look at the people who are part of like overboard on the Protestant mindset, you see the same thing as QAnon or flat eartherism.
