Many people who don't consider themselves caring that much about epistemology or physics are attracted to the TCS philosophy and have come into your work through that route. I know a lot of people these days are considering homeschooling. But there are practical difficulties to letting children do whatever they want. And TCS, you talk about how you don't even want to imply violence to children. The implied threat of violence, even in words, is just a form of violence and control.
