The Importance of Reason in Moral Philosophy

Peter Singer's examples are very convincing. One of the scary aspects of our moral intuitions and trolleyology draws that out is how fragile our intuitions are. So we somehow, in moral philosophy, need to divorce ourselves from all those irrelevant factors and try and use reason and logic to reach conclusions. And hope that we're not being affected by irrelevant considerations. Now that's really scary.
