The Effects of E-Books on Sleepiness

During this two weeks inpatient study, 12 participants read e books on a light emitting eye pad for four hours before bedtime each night. The researches found that participants reading an eye pad took longer to fall asleep and spent less time in rem sleep. And they also had reduced secretion of melotonin because of their ipad use. So all of these detrimental impacts from being on electronic device close to bedtime.
