The Importance of Camels in the Desert
During the second world war, German tanks would roll over camel dung. It was seen as a sort of good lunch on the allies when they heard about this. And so what they started doing was making camel dung land mines. So why should you not step into it if you're in the desert? You might injure some smaller life forms which rely on it for their existence. There's probably Camel Dung land mines still out there in the desert.
